CV resumido

Specialist in Pulmonology. Member of the CIBERES group, ISCIII, Madrid.
Master's Degree in Research Methodology in Health Sciences, International Master's Degree in Pulmonary Hypertension and Master's Degree in Advances in Diagnosis and Treatment of Sleep Disorders.
Author of 18 indexed publications on obstructive sleep apnea and obesity hypoventilation syndrome.
My research has focused mainly on large multicenter clinical trials on the simplified diagnosis and benefits of CPAP treatment in obstructive sleep apnea, as well as positive pressure treatment (CPAP and non-invasive ventilation) in obesity hypoventilation syndrome and its benefits. Many of these results have also been presented at international conferences (ERS Congress and ATS Conference).
Highlight, a publication in the Lancet journal of the only long-term study comparing the efficacy of non-invasive ventilation and CPAP in obesity-hypoventilation syndrome and, as first author, a publication in the American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care of Medicine on the management of obstructive sleep apnea in the primary care using a simplified device for diagnosis.
Another line of research started more recently is the telemonitoring and self-management of the patient undergoing CPAP treatment.
I am currently in the process of presenting the results of my Ph.D. work, also focused on the obesity hypoventilation syndrome.
