ACADEMIC TRAINING

Doctor of Medicine from the Complutense University of Madrid "European Doctor Mention" with the highest qualification of Outstanding "Cum Laude" by Unanimity. Department of Pathological Anatomy: Imaging and dissection studies of the Human Heart and its vessels. My curricular itinerary is extensive and multidisciplinary focused on my interests as a teacher, researcher and doctor: 4 Diplomas of Advanced Doctoral Studies (DEA) in the Areas of Human Anatomy and Embryology (Uex); Physical Anthropology (UGR); Social Anthropology (URV) and Human Pathological Anatomy (UCM). Also, 4 Official Titles of University Master's Degree in Cardiovascular Risk (UCAM); Human Nutrition and Food Quality (UIB); Physical Activity and Health: Prescription of Exercises in Chronic Patients (UPO-INIA); Sanitary Expertise (UCM). 2 Master's degrees in Medical Anthropology (URV); Anthropology and Forensic Genetics (UGR). 1 Official Postgraduate Diploma in Human Evolution (U. Coimbra). 2 Specialist Titles: Forensic Anthropology (UCM) and Medical-Surgical N. Specialist (ESE-Coimbra). More than 20 Continuous Training courses: Cardiac Imaging with “Dr. MA García Fernández” (HGU Gregorio Marañón) or the Experimental Animal Handling Course at the “Jesús Usón” Minimally Invasive Surgery Center, among others. I recently began a new Postgraduate training itinerary focused on Medical Specialization for the acquisition of new competencies for the management of the Complex Chronic Patient, Pluripathological and Palliative, as well as the Out-of-Hospital Emergency and Pain treatment. Finally, my undergraduate training began in 1979 with 4 undergraduate degrees in the fields of Health Sciences (MD and BSN), Human Biology and Anthropology.

UNIVERSITY TEACHING ACTIVITY

Teaching in Human Physiopathology and Human Anatomy with 30 years of practice (11 years in the Faculty of Sports CC). Direction of 50 Final Degree and Master Projects. Former Professor in the Master's Degree in Cardiovascular Prevention and Cardiac Rehabilitation (Menéndez Pelayo International University and Spanish Society of Cardiology).

RESEARCH ACTIVITY

Research focused on multicenter randomized and randomized studies, and on descriptive cardiovascular studies. Researcher in 7 competitive projects. Inventor of 3 Patents; Co-director of 5 Doctoral Theses and 3 Theses in development. Co-author of 30 publications, 4 book chapters and 1 book. Scientific advisor to the company iAltitude (Madrid).

FORMACIÓN ACADÉMICA

Doctor en Medicina por la Universidad Complutense de Madrid “Mención Doctor Europeo” con la máxima calificación de Sobresaliente “Cum Laude” por Unanimidad. Departamento de Anatomía Patológica: Estudios por imagen y disección del Corazón Humano y sus vasos. Mi itinerario curricular es extenso y multidisciplinar enfocado a mis intereses como docente, investigador y médico: 4 Diplomas de Estudios Avanzados de Doctorado (DEA) en las Áreas de Anatomía y Embriología Humanas (Uex); Antropología Física (UGR); Antropología Social (URV) y Anatomía Patológica Humana (UCM). Asimismo, 4 Títulos Oficiales de Máster Universitario en Riesgo Cardiovascular (UCAM); Nutrición Humana y Calidad de los Alimentos (UIB); Actividad Física y Salud: Prescripción de Ejercicios en Pacientes Crónicos (UPO-INIA); Pericia Sanitaria (UCM). 2 Títulos Máster en Antropología Médica (URV); Antropología y Genética Forense (UGR). 1 Diploma Oficial de Posgrado en Evolución Humana (U. Coimbra). 2 Títulos de Especialista: Antropología Forense (UCM) y Enf. Médico-Quirúrgica (ESE-Coimbra). Más de 20 cursos de Formación Continua: Imagen Cardiaca con el Dr. MA García Fernández (HGU Gregorio Marañón) o el Curso de Manipulación de Animales de Experimentación del Centro de Cirugía de Mínima Invasión “Jesús Usón”, entre otros. Recientemente comencé un nuevo itinerario formativo de Postgrado centrado en la Especialización Médica para la adquisición de nuevas competencias destinadas al manejo del Paciente Crónico Complejo, Pluripatológico y Paliativo, así como de la Urgencia Extrahospitalaria y del tratamiento del Dolor. Finalmente, mi formación de pregrado se inició en el año 1979 cursando 4 licenciaturas en los campos de las CC de la Salud, la Biología Humana y la Antropología.

ACTIVIDAD DOCENTE UNIVERSITARIA

Docencia en Fisiopatología Humana y Anatomía Humana con 30 años de ejercicio (11 años en la Facultad de CC del Deporte). Dirección de 50 Trabajos fin de Grado y de Máster. Ex-Docente en el Máster en Prevención Cardiovascular y Rehabilitación Cardiaca (Universidad Internacional Menéndez Pelayo y la SEC).

ACTIVIDAD INVESTIGADORA

Investigación centrada en estudios aleatorizados y randomizados multicéntricos, y en estudios cardiovasculares descriptivos. Investigador en 7 Proyectos competitivos. Inventor de 3 Patentes; Codirector de 5 Tesis Doctorales y 3 Tesis en desarrollo. Coautor de 30 publicaciones, 4 Capítulos de libros y 1 libro. Asesor científico de la empresa iAltitude (Madrid).
